One day. Four scenes. Four different settings, different locations, different times. Things that connect them and things that stand between them. The Tetralogy Of A Day is the attempt to capture a moment in 24 pictures - the frame rate of a standard 35mm film gauge movie projection. But instead of lining them up, wasting them in an instant, this work tries to give the opportunity to pause, to linger and to enjoy. Sunset Rendezvous, Midnight Noon, Evening Stroll and Unfull Moon together consist of 96 different, hand selected and edited, computer generated frames.

Every reload of this page creates another series of images. A sheer endless stream of combinations but in the end they always represent the exact same day.

The Sunset Rendezvous. Two strangers passing by each other. A man takes his dog for a walk. Will they take the chance and try out the sofa? Enjoy the sunset together, or is there no time left at all?
Midnight Noon. The sun has risen. Flocks of people populate a space in nowhere land. While some observe the little girl balancing on the prism others walk by in haste. Strangers observing each others. Colleagues talking in the shade of a lone tree. The world, an island.
Evening Stroll. A sheer endless wall seperating one side from another. A boy playing on the street. Alone but watched. Soon he may be called by his parents to come to dinner. The street remains. Seperating one side from another.
Unfull Moon. A dark empty world without light and contrast. A green dome under a cloudless sky. A man takes his dog out again, finishing his day the same way it begun. A routine comes to an end.
